Pharmacological Treatments

We will give the client the option of taking advantage of the medications used to treat withdrawal symptoms and medications used to deter future substance abuse.

In the very near future the FDA will be approving drugs that work on areas of the brain that are specific to a particular illicit drug, cocaine, for example, and will work similarly to the current drugs use to treat smoking and alcohol. This is a fast-growing area of research and treatment in the substance abuse field, and we stay on the cutting edge.

An Alternative to the 12-Steps

Because of the limitations of the 12-Step or any singularly focused treatment model, we offer a treatment model that empowers clients by letting them select and apply successful elements of new and innovative therapy approaches.

Cognitive therapies, Motivational Interviewing, and interventions using the Transtheoretical Model of Change are key components of our therapeutic milieu. Residents may also wish to integrate 12-Step approaches into their personal recovery plan.

Our New Therapeutic Innovations

As one of our own and new innovations, we will offer the split-stay residential treatment. This involves clients returning for at least two, one-week residential stays at predetermined points after their discharge from the initial 28-day stay.

Another of our new innovations includes teleconference aftercare in the context of one-to-one, group and conjoint sessions with the client’s home-town therapist

An Intimate Setting and Private Approach

By keeping a small number of clients in treatment at one time and recruiting the best therapists in the country, our approach maintains a quality, private and intimate treatment experience for the consumer.
